Resume Tip #16: Add a 2-line description to each of your major projects
A description like “developed five features for 30,000 users two weeks before the deadline” is way better than a plain and uninformative description like “responsible for developing features”.
Resume Tip #16: Add a 2-line description to each of your major projects.
What you need to do:
- Try to be as specific as possible when coming up with descriptions to each of your major projects;
- If you’ve signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), avoid including information that would violate it.
These days, the question “can you do it?” is outdated; the actual question is “how fast can you do it?”. Recruiters like to see descriptions where you’ve pushed yourself to the limit. If you know you’ve done it, summarize your accomplishments in the best way possible, like above.
